This is, quite simply, the CD this band was meant to record. Taken from their performance at the 2006 GABBAfest at the historical Douglas Theatre in Macon, Georgia Lefty Collins and The No Mercy Band deliver their unique and fiery brand of blues in a nine-song mix of originals and cover songs that take you on a great ride. With Lefty on guitar and lead vocals, JP Vancura on lead guitar, Pete Vancura on bass (and lead vocals on “Roadhouse Blues”) and Angel Murillo on drums, they play with great zest and passion throughout the CD. Special guest Jimmy Hall lends his outstanding harmonica playing to “No More,” and he and Lefty trade off at the end like the two great pros they are - this is what live music is all about.
