The Allman Brothers Band Returns to New York!
The Allman Brothers Band is a beloved musical institution with fans all over the world, but New York City in particular, holds a special place in ABB history. From the early days at the Fillmore East to 188 sold-out shows at the Beacon Theatre, some of the most spectacular and historic nights in ABB history went down in NYC.

In March, the group gets ready to do it again, this time at the newly-renovated United Palace Theatre! This once-forgotten jewel of the upper, upper West Side, located at Broadway and 175th, has been restored to its former glory and will host the Allman Brothers Band from March 11th through the 20th. Tickets go on sale through Ticketmaster on Friday, January 15th, and if past years are any indication, you will want to get your tickets quickly before the shows sell out.

We also are planning our annual HTN/NYC gathering to coincide with the Palace run - as soon as we nail down a time and place we will announce it. As many of you know, the Hittin' the Note party is a wonderful gathering of our ABB family, featuring intimate musical performances by some of your favorite artists. This year should be no exception, and we already have some cool stuff in the works - please stay tuned for details!

Go to www.ticketmaster.com for ticket info, and we will see you in March!

2009 Beacon Box Update!
We cut off sales on the 2009 Beacon Box last week because we were close to selling out and wanted to give everyone who placed a deposit a chance to pay the remainder before we released those final few boxes. So, if you haven't had a chance to pay the remainder, NOW is the time to do so! And, if you thought you had missed the boat, good news! Due to overwhelming demand, we have decided to manufacture more Beacon Boxes, and we are now taking orders again for this magnificent collection of music. Don't forget that individual shows are available as well. Thanks for all the positive feedback from those who have already received their Box, and thanks for your patience and support of this legendary collection of music!

2009 Summer Set!
Don't forget that the 40th anniversary magic didn't stop at the Beacon in March. From May through October the Allman Brothers Band traveled from coast-to-coast celebrating their special year with 38 spectacular concerts. That magic is found in the 2009 Summer Set, which include special guest appearances from Tom Petty, Ziggy Marley, Buddy Guy, Dave Mason, as well as members of the Doobie Brothers and Widespread Panic. As a special bonus there is a three-CD compilation of guest appearances by members of the ABB sitting in with WSP - only available with the purchase of this box.

We recognize that all 84 CDs add up to a considerable sum so, we have priced the package with a discount that includes the box and four free shows plus a free one year subscription to Hittin' the Note magazine! If you are on the fence, please know that we will work with you on installment payments at no interest - it's the least we can do for the best fans in the world! And, if you don't want the complete set we also have a special discount on the West Best Package (6 shows for the price of 5) and the El Grande collection (12 shows for the price of 10)! Click here for more information.

Post-Holiday Merchandise Update!
After a busy Holiday season, we are currently out of stock on a number of items. The ABB 40th Anniversary suede jacket was a big hit, and as a result, we are out of Large and XL jackets. We hope to have more in a few weeks and the new batch will have brown sleeves instead of gray. You can order them now by clicking on the image but please know that they will not ship until early February. As we get closer to February, look for a wide variety of new merchandise for 2010. Be sure to check our New Stuff page on our website periodically for updates.

New Gregg Allman Merch!
Speaking of New Stuff, check out these great new Gregg Allman hoodies! These thick sweatshirts are just the ticket for this bitter winter, and this sharp new design lets everyone know you are a Gregg Allman fan. There are also new GA Midnight Rider T-shirts, key chains, hats, totebags, cozies and a very cool women's cinnamon T. Click here or on the hoodie image for more information.

Big House Update!
Finally...the wait is over...after two and a half years of renovation and restoration, the house is finished, the exhibits are up, the property has been landscaped, the staff is ready and the Allman Brothers Band Museum at the Big House at 2321 Vineville Avenue, Macon, Georgia is open! Yes, that's right. You did it, all of you wonderful Brothers and Sisters whose lives have been touched by the music of this American institution that is the Allman Brothers Band.

Here's where you'll find all the posters, photos and memorabilia, both rare and familiar, and a vast archive of audio recordings and film footage. All of it will be right here at the Big House Museum, and just like the music and the band it birthed, all of it is meant to be experienced. Not just read about. Not even just listened to. Experienced.

The museum is open from 9 AM to 5 PM on Friday and Saturday, and from 11 AM to 5 PM Sunday. Call (478) 741-5551 if you have questions, or check out www.thebighousemuseum.org for more information.

Of course, one of the best ways to find out about the Big House is to watch Please Call Home, the excellent documentary about the early days of the Allman Brothers when the band lived in the Big House. Click here to order your copy today!
