ABB CDs and DVD Back In Stock!

A day does not go by that we don't get a call in the Hittin' the Note office asking when the 2nd ABB Archive, Stonybrook 9/19/71, is going to be reprinted. Sooo, we're really excited to tell you that this incredible CD along with Hittin' the Note and One Way Out will be back in stock on December 6th! In addition, the 2003 Live at the Beacon Theatre DVD will also be re-released! The Stonybrook archive has what many fans consider to be the very best versions of "Blue Sky" (extremely rare) and "Dreams" ever captured live by the original lineup. Brother Gregory Allman called Hittin' the Note the best ABB album since Eat A Peach. And, seeing the Brothers Live at The Beacon Theatre can't be beat! One Way Out is the follow-up CD to that DVD release and contains 65 extra minutes of incendiary music. What great holiday gifts these disc will make! You can pre-order now by clicking here .

Atlanta's Holiday Hootenanny!
For years Atlanta, GA was fortunate to have the Zambiland Orchestra perform each holiday season to remind us of what a crazy and joyful thing music can be. The brotherhood and sisterhood displayed during these events by the musicians and the audience always added to the warmth of the holiday season. This year, in the same spirit of giving, a number of our favorite musicians will be coming together to offer fans an Atlanta Holiday Hootenanny on December 18th at the Variety Playhouse!

The roster of musicians is a list of who's who on the Atlanta music scene, as well as well-known regional and national acts: Jimmy Hall, Tommy Talton, Col. Bruce Hampton, Ret., Charlie Starr, Rev. Jeff Mosier, Ike Stubblefield, Grant Green Jr., Jeff Sipe, Count M'Butu, Caroline Aiken, Yonrico Scott, Johnny Mosier, Diane Durrett, David Blackmon, Ralph Roddenbery, Donna Hopkins, Wildman Steve, Benji Shanks, Ted Pecchio, Gaurav Malhotra, Copious Jones plus more surprise guests! The performance will have three distinct sets that feature unique combinations of artists, bringing out the best in each jam and leaving plenty of room within a little bit of structure for a lot of spontaneity.

Doors are at 6:30 PM with showtime at 7:30 PM. Tickets are available through Ticketmaster and the Variety Playhouse Box Office. All ages admitted.
